Dr. Julia Blackmore

Dr. Julia Blackmore, a native of North Carolina, received her Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University. Dr Blackmore completed her residency program in 1985 under the direction of Dr. Cherly Chrisman and Dr. Roger Clemmons at the University of Florida and received her board certification in Veterinary Neurology in 1986. Dr. Blackmore worked at the Animal Emergency & Referral Center in Fort Pierce, Florida from 1986 to 1989 and then established her base office in Stuart Florida in 1989 to begin her mobile neurology and neurosurgical practice which at that time covered Orlando to Homestead. In the fall of 2007, a neurology clinic was established at the Coral Springs Animal Hospital. Dr. Blackmore then established a neurology/neurosurgical clinic in West Palm Beach, Florida. As of 2020, Dr. Blackmore is practicing only out of her office in Stuart, Florida. 

Sara Bova

Sara was born and raised in South Florida. Sara has been an avid animal lover for as long as she can remember. She started out fostering neonatal puppies and kittens for rescues while in high school and has worked as a veterinary technician since graduating in 2014. Sara has experience working in many fields of veterinary medicine including general practice, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, reproduction, emergency and now neurology. Sara joined Dr. Blackmore in December of 2021, when she is not in our office, she enjoys spending time with her family and her golden retrievers.
